If weather is a concern and games have not been cancelled, parents should contact their player's coach. Coaches may contact opposing team coaches and make a determination on their own as to whether to cancel the game.
There may be times when we need to cancel games due to rain and/or snow. Light rain and/or snow may be okay depending on the temperature. Heavier rain or snow makes play difficult and fields unsafe.
Thunder and Lightning
If you see lightning, you are to advise a coach as soon as possible. All teams must leave the fields immediately and seek shelter either indoors or in a vehicle. Open structures such as under the warming house are NOT safe. Games should not start or resume until at least 30 minutes after the last lightning strike or thunder.
No games are to be played when the temperature is 40 degrees or lower. Players are NOT allowed to wear hooded sweatshirts, scarves, or ear muffs with metal or plastic parts for safety reasons.
